Just wanted to make a quick post about a comment left by Gus today:
hello, i am betfair full-time trader since 4 years and since short time i started to trade for customers with a ROI of 35% per month on average. If you are interested to join me or share trading views dont hesitate add me in msn theprotrader@hotmail.fr or mail me in that adress. good luck
I have never met Gus, nor heard of him or read about his advice on trading on any forums or blogs. I'm quite surprised that Gus has even come across my blog! However, whilst the offer is very appealing and I should be biting his hand off for the chance to earn 35% ROI compared to my measly ROI of 3%. Something just doesn't seem right! Whilst Gus may have traded for customers and done very well for them, I'm very surprised that he doesn't just "work" for him self and make money without the pressure of doing it with someone else's money. Maybe Gus is very good at what he does and unlike me, wants to help people and make them money, preferably for a fee. There is nothing wrong with that at all. I couldn't do it.
Anyway, I had a search on google for the email address Gus has so kindly provided. The results can be found here.
A couple of things that stand out for me are:
* Gus spends a lot of time posting links on blogs, and has been doing for a while. Makes you wonder if he has any time to trade. Maybe he was a salesman before he took to trading and understands the importance of marketing.
* Gus was called Paul before! Bless him, he never had a choice about his name and now that he is all grown up, he can change his name as he pleases.
* I think Betfair is banned in France. I'm assuming Gus has enough resources to trade whilst he travels, makes a new identity or lives in another country.
I found the following thread on the Geeks Toy, which tells you a little bit more about the offer from Gus here.
Just so that there is no doubt, I am not interested in the offer from Gus. It seems to be a SCAM and I would be saddened if anyone lost money because of it. I would urge anyone and everyone, especially "newbies" to dismiss it completely.
This rings a bell. A few years ago on facebook, a person with the same name added me and wanted to make money for me using his unique system, he was also from france. He promptly deleted me when I refused.
ReplyDeleteHi John. That wouldn't surprise me, it seems that this person has been around for a while. If he was so good at trading, I am sure he would have built a substantial betting bank and profit figure by now. The fact that he is still looking for new people to help, implies that he may not be very successful.
