Over the past few years, I have become increasingly interested in Sports, mainly Football, Horse Racing, Tennis and Cricket. The interest has stemmed not because I enjoy watching sports on TV or live, it’s because of gambling or betting on an outcome. I loved the thrill of cheering home a horse that had my £2 riding on it! I can’t really remember how much I have won or lost over this “thrill” but I’m sure overall I would be showing a loss. Over time, I started to read and visit more gambling and betting related sites, blogs, forums and articles. It was on this “journey” that I read about trading on Betfair. My interest really perked up when I discovered arbitrage or specifically, trading the price of a horse or team so that you would win whatever the outcome. I understood that it would be little profits and losses, but I had visions of these little titbits of money adding up and I could sail off in to the sunset!
Since then, I have watched countless markets on Betfair to see the money coming in, money being matched and prices changing all the time. I have googled all sorts of words and expressions in relation to trading on Betfair, just to see what people have written, experienced and seen. I feel that I have learnt a new topic, albeit I still have a long way to go before I can even confess to admitting I know something worthwhile!
A few weeks ago, I deposited a small sum of money into a Betfair account and have started to trade. At the moment, it is pre-race horse trading and this suits my lifestyle and I can fit it in between other commitments.
I’m not sure why I started a blog. I read a lot of blogs that I have come across and it appealed to me. It’s not to boast about my profits or to shout “look at me!” as most will probably spend more money on a night out than I will stake on my Betfair trades. If I make a few friends, get a helping hand, receive good solid advice, then I will be more than happy that I started this blog.

good luck with it, keep the content flowing and I'll add you to my list...
ReplyDeleteI have added you to my blog roll. As Scott says, keep the updates coming. As for some good advice, keep reading Green All Over - it's by far the best blog out there. Along with Sport Is Made For Betting of course.
